As part of the growing support for spectrum for 5G, the GSMA spoke recently at the Forum Global Spectrum Management Conference in Brussels.

Our Speakers:

Andy Hudson, Head of Policy the GSMA. Andy gave a presentation on the impact of 5G around the world. Andy put forward the case on how Europe needs to support this emerging technology with forward looking spectrum policies.

Glyn Carter, Senior Spectrum Advisor. As a complement to Andy’s points, Glyn put forward a deep dive into the upcoming World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC). Glyn highlighted the specific bands needed for 5G that will enable the services envisioned for the future. Agenda Item 1.13 is the mobile industry’s ask for spectrum with focus on 26GHz as a pioneer band in Europe.
