At the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association’s (PITA) 19th annual meeting and trade show held in Tonga in April, the GSMA launched its first report that specifically examines the social and economic impact of mobile for the Pacific Islands region. The GSMA also held a workshop to introduce its Capacity Building Programme and to discuss preparations for the upcoming World Radiocommunication Conference 2015.
