The response highlighted the central role that licensing additional spectrum to mobile operators will play in creating faster and more ubiquitous mobile broadband services. It provided input on readying the 800MHz, 900MHz and 2.6GHz bands for mobile use as well as the progress on agreeing a band plan for the 700MHz band in region 1.
