Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) provides a more flexible and efficient technical platform for broadcasters to deliver both SD and HD programming. It can also provide wider consumer choice through more broadcast television channels, multimedia, radio and data services. DTT makes more efficient use of scarce spectrum resources and, as such, is a key enabler for the release of radio spectrum.

This report offers supporting information to the ITU guidelines for the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting.
