Mobile Connect Americas Summit
Mobile Connect Americas Summit
The mobile industry across the Americas (US, Canada and Latin America) continues to drive innovation and set global standards. In 2014, the mobile ecosystem contribution to GDP in North America was US$550B and US$244B in Latin America.
Deep-rooted in the digital transformation economy, mobile continues to be at the heart of end users lives, impacting engagement and interactions with commerce, governments, banking, travel and other online services where there is a growing need for individuals to be able to manage and authenticate themselves in the digital world. This imperative is further compounded with growing exposure to identity-based fraud and theft, which is exploiting the inherent weaknesses in traditional log-in and access methods.
The mobile industry is coming together to deliver a new secure authentication solution for digital services that protects end user privacy. The solution is Mobile Connect and is already being delivered by over 17 mobile operators across 13 markets worldwide. Within the next year the industry plans to enable over 1 billion users around the world.
The GSMA invites you to take part in our Americas Summit where the mobile industry will be convening to discuss Mobile Connect – the interoperable global solution to mobile authentication and personal data.
Hosted in New York, the event will be set over three days between the 13th and 15th October with a dedicated day for digital service providers. Below you can find more detail on the scheduled activities:
