New GSMA specifications for RCS

The GSMA, with industry partners, has released updated RCS standards featuring end-to-end encryption (E2EE) via the Messaging Layer Security (MLS) protocol. This is a key addition to the latest RCS Universal Profile, reinforcing industry standardisation.

With Apple and Google confirming support, these specifications are driving adoption of these enhancements within the growing RCS ecosystem and its interoperable messaging service.
