Benedicte Fasmer

Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer is the President and CEO of Telenor Group, a position she has held since December 2024. Telenor is a leading telecommunications company with a strong presence across the Nordics and Asia.

Prior to joining Telenor, Benedicte served as CEO of Norwegian bank SpareBank1 SR-Bank (now SpareBank1 Sør-Norge post a recent merger). She has over 30 years of experience in the financial and FMCG industries and was previously Group EVP at the insurance company Fremtind Forsikring and Group EVP, Head of Corporate Banking at DNB, Norway’s largest financial institution.

Her extensive board experience includes serving as Chair of the Oslo Stock Exchange, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of Norway, and a board member of several corporations, including Vipps, Norway’s market-leading mobile payment app. Benedicte was a member of the United Nations High Level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity for Achieving the 2030 Agenda (UN FACTI Panel) from 2020-2022.

Benedicte holds a degree in economics and business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
