Masaaki Koga

Masaaki Koga has been honored to serve as a corporate advisor since April 2025, following his tenure as Executive Director in charge of industry standards.

He joined KDDI (then DDI) after graduating from Kyushu University with a master’s degree in electronics. Throughout his career, he has worked on the implementation, development, and strategic planning of mobile technologies from 2G to 5G, holding roles as a senior manager and general manager.

He has been actively involved in numerous standardization activities, including 3GPP, 3GPP2, and ITU-T/R. For over eight years, he chaired the CDG international roaming team and received the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award in 2006 for his industry leadership.
