Accelerating 5G and 5G-Advanced in Thailand

Strengthening mobile connectivity, including technologies like 5G and 5G-Advanced (5G-A), will be key to the economic development of Thailand. The country has seen some of the fastest growth in digital infrastructure and access in Asia, becoming a leader in assign mobile spectrum and boasting the second-highest number of internet users in ASEAN.

This report takes a closer look at the state of 5G and 5G-Advanced spectrum planning in Thailand and discusses the key issues and challenges in securing sufficient spectrum resources for 5G, particularly in the mid-bands. It then provides some recommendations for the way forward.
