The purpose of this specification is to enable multiple stakeholders achieve a common understanding of what constitutes an AI enabled mobile device. AI in mobile devices is a nascent technology. By creating such a baseline, covering not only direct AI capability, but also the necessary security and privacy safeguards, and ancillary device capability application and service providers, and manufacturers can confidently work with from a common expectation of what an AI enabled device can provide.
