Interoperability is increasingly recognised as a critical enabler of digital financial inclusion. However, the empirical links between different interoperability models, regulatory frameworks, and inclusive outcomes remain insufficiently explored.
This session marked the official launch of the Interoperability Reports, with key findings presented by Francisco Daniel Amaya Ariza (GSMAi). This was followed by a sharing session on Ghana’s interoperability journey, led by Hayford Kumah (Bank of Ghana).
A panel discussion, moderated by Karim Dia (GSMA) and featuring Monzer Ali (MTN Rwanda), Polycarp Ndekana (Airtel Money), Faith Owino (M-Pesa), Simon Karemu (Central Bank of Kenya), and Brian Muthiora (Vodacom), explored pathways to designing inclusive and effective interoperability frameworks.
