Professor Urszula Soler

Associate Professor, Warsaw University of Life Sciences

Urszula Soler holds a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in social sciences in the discipline of sociology. She works as an Associate Professor at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego – SGGW). Her areas of expertise include the sociology of technology, sociology of security, sociology of education, and cybersecurity.

For many years, she has collaborated with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and several other Italian universities (in Bari, Udine, Rome, Teramo, Messina, and Venice), engaging in both research and teaching activities. She has completed six research fellowships in Italy and participated in several international research projects. In the past year, she has also established intensive cooperation with the University of Notre Dame in the United States.

She regularly travels to deliver lectures within the Erasmus+ program, teaching in both English and Italian, in which she is fluent.

She is the author or co-author of several large-scale social research projects (including international ones) conducted in cooperation with the business sector, focusing on Poles’ attitudes toward new technologies and disinformation. For several years, she has been actively collaborating with the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT) and the Digital Poland Foundation. She also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal dot.pl (journaldot.pl).
