Supporting the needs of children with disabilities
Impact of mobile technology
A child with a disability has the right to live a full and decent life with dignity and that includes having access to education and social interaction. Ultimately, being connected helps children with disabilities to become more independent and self-reliant and to play an active part in their community.
As more services become ‘digital by default’, there is an increased risk that children with disabilities may be left behind if technology products and services are not made accessible to all. Mobile operators can create accessible solutions, such as educational games and communication tools, to support children with disabilities.
