Inclusion
Promoting inclusion of marginalised communities and groups
Impact of mobile technology
Mobile technology can help families in excluded, underserved or marginalised communities by providing access to a range of basic services, including education, protection and financial services.
Furthermore, mobile operators can work with other stakeholders to support digital inclusion initiatives and address barriers to connectivity. This might include helping to reduce the gender gap in mobile phone ownership and using mobile services to disseminate information to vulnerable communities.
