Empowering parents to protect and support their children

Impact of mobile technology

Parents have rights and responsibilities to provide guidance for their child in line with the child’s evolving capacities. With potential risks such as cyberbullying, inappropriate content and grooming, many parents are concerned about how safe their children are in their digital spaces.

Mobile operators can support parents by working with partners to provide online safety guidance and tools that help families to better support their children online. They can also help partner organisations to disseminate advice and general parenting tips via mobile devices for the different stages of a child’s life, such as early childhood health advice.
