Michael Charitos

Michael received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics in 2007, and his Ph.D. in Wireless Networks from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Patras in 2014. Also, held the position of Post-doctoral Senior Researcher (4G/5G Telecoms) at the University of Bristol in 2015 and completed his Global MBA at the Alliance Manchester Business School in 2023.

Michael has more than 15 years of experience in the Telecoms sector, R&D and Satellite Communications in different roles within Industrial Systems Institute, Networks Group (CSN) Labs at the University of Bristol, Siemens Rail Automation & Mobility, British Telecoms, OneWeb SatCom, AccelerComm Ltd and GSMA UK (Satellite Technology). Michael joined the GSMA Networks group as a Technical Director in Satellite Technology in July 2024 and he is responsible for the GSMA NTN Community group.
