T-Mobile will officially launch its new satellite-to-mobile service, T-Satellite with Starlink, on July 23. The service, developed in partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink, has been in beta testing and will soon be available in U.S. At launch, T-Satellite will support SMS texting, MMS, picture messaging, and short audio clips, initially for Android devices, with iOS compatibility following. It will also enable 911 texting and is compatible with most smartphones made in the last four years, requiring no special equipment.
