Virtual Tech4Girls Workshop – Commonwealth | Mobile App Development

This is a virtual Tech4Girls Mobile App development Workshop targeting 50 girls and young women (ages 12 to 16) from across the Commonwealth (mainly Caribbean, Africa, South Asia, and Europe regions).

The workshop aims to teach participants a new set of digital skills to help them shift from just consuming information to becoming digital creators. In this workshop, the participants will learn the basics of creating Mobile applications. The project of the mobile application is to create an electronic book that represents women in STEAM role models from across the Commonwealth. The participants will develop and design their own women role models storybook using Thunkable.

The event is part of the GSMA Tech4Girls powered by EQUALS workshop series and it is being organized in partnership with Verizon, the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network (CBWN), Rova Digital, ITU, and the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age to commemorate International Girls in ICT Day.
