From Mobile Connectivity to Digital Infrastructure
This report positions Indiaʼs mobile ecosystem as a strategic layer of national digital infrastructure: enabling AI diffusion, enterprise productivity, resilient digital public infrastructure, secure digital transactions and sustainable operator investment.
The report focuses on three priority areas. First, AI-ready and future-ready networks: Indiaʼs AI ambitions will require high-capacity, secure, resilient and increasingly intelligent networks. AI must also be used inside telecom operations to improve planning, energy efficiency, service assurance, cybersecurity and fraud detection. Second, enterprise digitisation and platform-based monetisation: operators need new revenue pathways through fixed wireless access, enterprise connectivity, private networks,
cloud connectivity, network APIs and cybersecurity services. Third, digital trust and DPI resilience: as Indiaʼs digital transaction environment scales, telecom capabilities can support digital trust through secure authentication, fraud prevention and privacy preserving network intelligence.
