The GSMA welcomes the extension of ‘Roam Like at Home’ (RLAH) to Ukraine as of 1 January 2026. We recognise the critical role of mobile connectivity in times of crisis, enabling refugees to maintain contact with loved ones, access essential services, and remain informed as they rebuild their lives in safety.
We also fully support the extension of the current joint statement by leading European and Ukrainian mobile operators, as well as the additional commitment, which reaffirms their shared commitment to ensure vital roaming services remain available to Ukrainian refugees. This extraordinary voluntary cooperation demonstrates the mobile industry’s ability to unite in the face of humanitarian challenges and provide meaningful connectivity to those who need it most.
