Ayşem Ertopuz

Executive Vice President - Digital Services and Solutions, Turkcell

Ayşem Ertopuz joined Turkcell in January 2016 as Strategic Planning Director. In November 2016 she was appointed Senior Vice President of Digital Services and Solutions. She started her career at Arçelik A.Ş., where she had served as Quality System Engineer between 1993-1997. She started to work in Arthur Andersen in 1997 as Strategic Consultancy Services Manager. Joining Cisco’s EMEA Region Organization in 2001 in Belgium, Ayşem Ertopuz took managerial roles in several functions including Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence, Operations and Global Customer Management. She served as the manager of Business Intelligence Group within Cisco’s New York based Global Sales Strategy and Planning organization between 2006 and 2015, focusing on the fields of Service Providers sector, market and competition dynamics, business strategy and performance, utilization of digital services in new business models. Ayşem Ertopuz graduated from Middle East Technical University Industrial Engineering Department and received her MBA degree from New York University, Stern School of Business.

Heather Rivera

Global Head of Product Partnerships, YouTube

Heather Rivera is YouTube’s Global Head of Product Partnerships, an organization that strikes innovative partnerships necessary to build, distribute, and drive growth for YouTube’s suite of products (e.g. YouTube, YouTube Music, YouTube TV, and more).

Heather joined YouTube after roles on several other Google teams, including BD for Google’s Commerce & Analytics and New Business Development teams, and she also led Strategy & Operations for the Creative Lab, Google’s acclaimed, in-house creative agency.

Prior to joining Google in 2007, Heather was an analyst at JPMorgan. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia. She is a member of the Board of Directors at Renewal Care Foundation.

Jonathan Wood

Senior Director for Advanced Technologies, Intel

Jonathan Wood is a Senior Director within Intel’s Technology, Systems Architecture & Client Group and GM for Business Development for Advanced Technology as part of a team responsible for strategic programs and partners for advanced technology, like 5G.

Jonathan joined Intel in 2013 via an acquisition by Intel’s Software and Services Group of a leading software company focused on API management, for Fortune 100 companies and Network/Cloud Service providers.

Before assuming his current position, Jonathan served as a Senior Director responsible for Business Development and Partnerships for Intel’s Connectivity Solutions business, working to bring several new iconic designs to market with leading manufacturers from within consumer electronics, IOT and automotive industry.

Earlier in his career, Jonathan has spent more than two decades in various senior management positions at AT&T Network Systems, Philips Communications, GEC Siemens and Palmsource where his responsibilities spanned a range of business development, product sales, technical marketing and GM’s positions for wireless, telecommunications, internet, mobile software and semiconductors. Always on the very edge of leading and disruptive technology.

Peter Jarich

Head of GSMA Intelligence, GSMA Intelligence

Peter leads the GSMA Intelligence analyst team, driving its content strategy and agenda. Working across the GSMA membership and broader mobile ecosystem, Peter is responsible for developing insights into the intelligence products required by the market as well as the best ways in which to deliver them. In the near-term, this means driving the rollout of new data sets and research on topics ranging from 5G and IoT, to Consumer Demand trends and multiplay (fixed broadband, pay TV).

Samuel Burke

Business and Technology Correspondent, CNN

Samuel Burke is a business and technology correspondent for CNN Business based in London.

In addition, Burke serves as a news anchor and producer for CNN en Español’s Cibercafé. He’s reported from the scene of major world events like the London parliament terrorist attack. Previously, he anchored ‘iReport’ and ‘Europa Hoy.’

Burke covers major international technology events and has interviewed the heads of the world’s largest companies like Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Alibaba CEO Jack Ma, T-Mobile CEO John Legere, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, Ford CEO Mark Fields, TransferWise CEO Taavet Hinrikus, GoPro CEO Nick Woodman, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, Ford CEO Jim Hackett, Deliveroo CEO Will Shu, Tinder Chairman Sean Rad as well as heads of state like Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet.

He started his career at CNN as an intern for Anderson Cooper 360° and then served as Christiane Amanpour’s digital and field producer. Alongside Amanpour, he travelled across the Middle East producing reports and live broadcasts from Egypt during the country’s first-ever democratic elections, Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Prior to joining CNN, Burke was a freelance producer for Phoenix’s NPR affiliate KJZZ and ABC News’ 20/20 program.

Burke studied Spanish linguistics at La Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and graduated summa cum laude from the Barrett Honors College and Arizona State University. He received his master’s degree in journalism from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, and now serves on the Cronkite School National Board of Advisors.

Head of Research, GSMA Intelligence

As Head of Research, Tim has overall responsibility for our published research agenda, produced by a team of analysts covering a variety of subjects in mobile and the broader TMT sector. In an ever changing industry, this means that change is the only constant. Aside from writing and editing, he is a regulator presenter at conferences, public speaking engagements and in the media.
