Freedom Telecom International joins the GSMA to bring new fintech capabilities to global telcos

Freedom Telecom International (FTI), a subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: FRHC), has joined the GSMA as a Community Member, to strengthen its engagement with the global telecommunications and digital ecosystems.

FTI brings its core fintech capabilities to telecom operators, including digital brokerage and investment services, embedded financial solutions, and access to the broader Freedom ecosystem, enabling telcos to diversify revenue streams and enhance customer engagement through financial products.

The GSMA is the leading industry association within the mobile ecosystem, bringing together more than 1,200 mobile operators and organisations to foster innovation, establish technical standards and interoperability, advocate for policy, address societal challenges, and serve as the convening body of MWC Barcelona, recognized as the world’s largest connectivity event.

Through this membership, FTI will participate in GSMA communities and industry initiatives relevant to its business while contributing to the discourse on telecom–fintech convergence, building new digital propositions to deepen customer engagement. The membership enables FTI to collaborate with various GSMA communities and forums, including those under the Connected Fintech and Commerce initiative, together with operators, financial institutions and technology leaders who all work on the next phase of digital financial innovation.

As part of the new engagement with GSMA, FTI will also work with GSMA Intelligence, the organization’s data and analytics arm, to leverage their data and reporting. GSMA Intelligence is the is the definitive source of mobile operator metrics, industry forecasts and strategic insights. It maintains over 50 million data points covering 1,000+ operators and 4,500+ networks, supporting decision-making across the global telecom ecosystem.
