Welcoming the latest GSMA Members

New GSMA members take a global approach to fighting scams and meeting enterprises’ connectivity needs

Four logos on a red background, each spaced apart: m360 (white speech bubble with "m360"), Apate (white text with vertical lines), datafon (bold white text), and SIMpracy (white text with a circular neural network design).

The GSMA has members in almost every country and territory in the world. This global reach and perspective is a key attraction for new members. That’s certainly the case for the latest intake, most of whom cited the GSMA’s worldwide network as one of their reasons for joining.

Apate.ai, for example, is fighting a wide-ranging global battle against scammers and fraudsters that operate across international borders. With a focus on proactive scam prevention and threat intelligence, Australia-based Apate.ai partners with telcos, financial institutions, and government agencies to deploy advanced conversational AI agents that engage scammers in real time – diverting their efforts, disrupting campaigns, and capturing actionable intelligence to protect customers and dismantle scam infrastructure.

“We joined GSMA because telcos sit at the front line of global scam prevention,” says Brad Joffe, Co-founder & Chief Commercial Officer. “Our mission is to flip the script on the economics of fraud by proactively engaging scammers and turning their activity into real-time intelligence. GSMA provides a unique platform to collaborate with operators worldwide and help build scalable, network-level defences against scams.”

Supporting enterprises around the world

Another new member, SIMpracy, also has a global outlook. As a corporate connectivity provider and a full core MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) SIMpracy offers high‑speed global coverage through a single SIM. It says its universal eSIM technology authenticates users anywhere and consolidates multiple operator contracts into one cost‑effective, high‑performance solution, freeing businesses from single‑carrier constraints and ensuring continuous, secure connectivity at scale.

“Simpracy LTD joined the GSMA to collaborate with global leaders shaping the future of mobile connectivity and contribute to industry‑defining standards and innovation,” explains Larry Zabriansky, Executive Director of Carrier Relations, at Simpracy. “Through GSMA’s working groups and expert communities, we hope to expand partnerships, access valuable industry intelligence, and help drive solutions that strengthen the global mobile ecosystem.”

Similarly, new GSMA member m360 is looking to bring its communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) proposition to enterprises worldwide. Operating as part of Brave Connective Holdings Inc, a Globe Telecom portfolio company, m360 delivers enterprise-grade messaging and omni-channel solutions across the Philippines and global markets. With a CPaaS built for scale, security and seamless integration, m360 says it empowers businesses to communicate smarter, faster and more reliably – processing billions of messages annually and serving clients across industries worldwide.

“Joining the GSMA marks a significant milestone for us – not just as a badge of recognition, but as a commitment to actively shaping the future of global connectivity,” says Hermi Hizon, Chief Commercial Officer of m360. “As a member, we now have a seat at the table alongside the world’s leading mobile operators and ecosystem players, allowing us to contribute to the standards and frameworks that drive the industry forward. We believe that meaningful connectivity goes beyond technology – it’s about trust, inclusion, and long-term impact. Through this membership, we gain access to cutting-edge insights, emerging innovations, like GSMA Open Gateway, and a global network of partners that will help us deliver even greater value to our clients. We’re proud to join a community united by the goal of Connectivity for Good, and we look forward to playing our part in building a more connected, secure, and inclusive world.”

Trusted data-as-a-service

Rounding off our new members this month, Datafon, is also in the business of providing trusted services to enterprises, including telecoms operators. Founded in 2022 in the UK, Datafon provides data-as-a-service offerings, such as mobile number portability and number verification, to its partners within the telecommunications industry.  Datafon says its number portability solution instantly provides the original and current network of a phone number. The company also enables telecoms operators to enhance their global routing of messages and voice calls via phone number intelligence in order to reduce costs.

“For us, GSMA membership means officially being part of the telecommunications community.” says Shehzad Ladha, Chief Operations Officer at Datafon. “It allows us to contribute to the conversations on how we can achieve improvements and innovation within the industry, create new partnerships and continue to grow together.”
