New GSMA members highlight value of collaboration and access to innovation and knowledge
As mobile technologies and services become increasingly sophisticated, diverse and complex, industry players increasingly need to work with a wide range of partners to develop solutions for their customers. That need is one of the key reasons companies from across the global telecoms ecosystem join the GSMA.

New member Lenovo Connect, for example, explains they have joined the GSMA to support its “transition to a co-builder” in key technologies, such as embedded SIMs, 5G-Advanced and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as to enhance its global brand credibility and secure priority access to world-class resources. A subsidiary of Lenovo Group established in 2015, Lenovo Connect offers SDN (Software Defined Network) virtualisation technology, alongside self-developed software and hardware capabilities. As well as acting as an MVNO in China, its connectivity services cover more than 180 countries and regions worldwide.
“We joined the GSMA to actively participate in global mobile ecosystem building,” says Faye Fang, CPO of Lenovo Connect. “This membership provides a pivotal platform for continuous upgrading through exposure to cutting-edge trends, identifying new business opportunities and fostering upstream and downstream collaboration. Ultimately, it is essential for enhancing Lenovo Connect’s brand credibility and global influence with this authoritative endorsement.”
Similarly, Sino-Telecom has joined the GSMA to “collaborate with global industry leaders and help to shape the future of mobile communications.” A developer and manufacturer of high-end DICT (Data Centre Interconnect Transport) equipment, Sino-Telecom provides telecoms products and solutions, network visibility and AI to telecom operators, governments and enterprises in more than 30 countries.
“Through this membership, we hope to deepen our engagement with operators worldwide, contribute to open standards and showcase our innovative solutions in telecom, network visibility and AI,” says Xie Hu, CEO of Sino-Telecom, which is based in Shanghai. “We believe GSMA provides the ideal platform to amplify our impact on the global digital ecosystem.”
Innovating to build stronger connections with customers
For Byti Technologies, a global CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) provider, the GSMA also provides a “platform to amplify our voice, showcase our solutions and forge meaningful partnerships that accelerate digital transformation.” With offices in India, Dubai and Singapore, Byti Technologies develops scalable, omnichannel messaging solutions – SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, email and chatbots – designed to enable enterprises to build stronger customer connections through secure, personalised and real-time digital communication.
“Joining GSMA reflects our commitment to shaping the future of mobile communications,” says Rajesh Bahl, Founder and CEO, of Byti Technologies, which serves more than 100 customers in more than 25 countries. “Through this membership, we aim to collaborate with global leaders, contribute to industry standards and gain insights that drive innovation.”
Innovation is also a high priority for 15gifts, a UK-based software company that has used AI to develop Humara system, a highly-specialised sales agent which encodes the psychology, craft and intuition of the best human salespeople. 15gifts works with some of the world’s leading telecommunications and media brands, including Verizon, O2, Tesco and Vodafone. After more than 15 years of serving the telecoms industry, 15gifts describes joining the GSMA as “an exciting milestone” that will allow for deeper engagement with a global community of telecom innovators.
“We’re eager to share our insights and AI expertise and continue to learn from industry leaders,” adds Ben Gilbert, Chief Commercial Officer of 15gifts. “This membership will allow us to drive innovation, build key connections and ensure AI’s transformative potential is realised across the sector.”
Enabling and enhancing emergency communications
In October, the GSMA also welcomed a new operator member – Pro-M Zrt. – the exclusive government communications service provider in Hungary. Pro-M provides the Unified Digital Radio and Telecommunications System (EDR), a secure public protection and disaster relief (PPDR) broadband network dedicated to mission-critical communications. The EDR is employed by Hungary’s emergency services and defence administration organisations for emergency communications. Pro-M Zrt also develops and operates Hungary’s public administration and education network infrastructure.
“GSMA membership offers our company valuable opportunities to stay up to date with the latest technological trends, leverage industry collaborations and integrate global professional expertise into our services,” notes Ferenc Balla, CEO of Pro-M. “By joining in the operator category, our company – the first among European PPDR service providers – gains access to GSMA’s professional databases, enabling us to deliver and enhance our services at an even higher level, supporting mobile communications for emergency and public safety users.”
