  • Expanded Reach: OQ Technology’s NB-IoT services extend DT IoT’s global reach
  • Boosting Connectivity: Aiming to connect global roaming SIMs with new connectivity product which shall combine access to cellular as well as satellite networks
  • Cutting-Edge Infrastructure: 5G IoT connectivity for NB-IoT standards-compliant devices thanks to OQ’s 3GPP LEO constellation

Barcelona, March. 5, 2024 In collaboration with OQ Technology (the world’s fastest-growing 5G NTN IoT LEO satellite operator), DT IoT will offer a converged mobile satellite connectivity service, providing global IoT network coverage.

Deutsche Telekom offers global 5G roaming, enabling Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) solutions deployment worldwide. This collaboration empowers businesses with reliable IoT services, even in previously inaccessible areas.

OQ Technology’s satellite network integrates seamlessly with Deutsche Telekom’s T IoT Hub layer and Core Network, this partnership to develop a hybrid terrestrial plus non-terrestrial network (NTN) combined solution for customers, on compatible devices.

The service data is transmitted securely to customers, requiring only an IoT connectivity contract with DT IoT and it will enable the German operator to be the No.1 Transatlantic IoT player. OQ Technology, the first and fastest growing 5G IoT satellite operator, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Deutsche Telekom IoT (DT IoT), ushering in a new era of global IoT Satellite connectivity.

Leadership Perspectives:

Omar Qaise, Founder & CEO of OQ Technology: Expresses great joy at the Deutsche Telekom IoT collaboration, marking a historic milestone . “With our 10 satellites in orbit and more to be launched we will extend DT IoT’s offering of low latency and large capacity communication using our 3GPP-standard based Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation.”

New Business Opportunities:

Satellite connectivity unlocks IoT applications in areas where terrestrial networks face limitations. This includes connecting stationary IoT devices like agriculture sensors in remote areas and facilitating IoT applications across the world’s oceans.
