Mobile Connect Summit – Singapore

The event is free to attend and will take place on 21st and 22nd November 2017 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. This Summit is a forum for all stakeholders engaged with digital identity and will address the status of Mobile Connect deployments both globally and in the Asian market.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the value and commercial scalability of the identity service as well as how Mobile Connect fits in the regulatory space. Other topics covered in the event sessions include the Mobile Connect product portfolio and how it adapts to emerging trends in the digital identity landscape, with specific focus on the attribute data sharing use case.

Senior Principal, A.T. Kearney
Gareth is a Senior Principal with A.T. Kearney based out of Kuala Lumpur and covering the SEA region. Gareth has more than 13 years of experience in management consulting covering the Communication, Media and Technology sectors across a range of geographies including South East Asia, the Middle East, Latam and the Indian sub-continent. His focus areas include corporate strategy and business planning, customer experience enhancement, digital strategy and investment options and operational model improvement. A large part of his work in recent years has focused on the digital economy and the convergence across telecoms, media and digital. Most recently, Gareth has been leading a study jointly with CISCO around Cybersecurity in the ASEAN region. Gareth co-authored the MENA design Education outlook and the Arab Media Outlook and has been a speaker at various forums on topics related to digital and the future of Television. Gareth completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD, Fountainbleau and holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance
Business Manager, Alliance Digital Technology
Cijay Tseng is the Business Manager of Alliance Digital Technology Co., responsible for Mobile Application Business Development. She has experienced of business development of smart locks and anti-counterfeit technology, promoting mobile life tech and application. Ms. Tseng is also the lecturer of International Trade Institute under TAITRA, teaching lectures of business development and presentation training.
She majored in Applied Mathematics, with program of Computer Science, and built an own-brand business of handmade products since 2008. After the training of Japanese and Business Management, Ms. Tseng interned at Nippon Express in Japan, and then served as the Creative Director of User star Information System Co. She joined inside Alliance Digital Technology Co. where she served as Business Manager, with the field of mobile tech of payment, authorization, and information security.
Chief Operating Officer, Alliance Digital Technology
Victor Tsai is the Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Digital Technology Co. He served as the Special Assistant to Chairman Office of Foxconn group. Mr. Tsai served as the Senior Director of Asia Pacific Telecom. He served as the Director of Telecom Technology Centre. Mr. Tsai served as the Director of Taiwan Mobile Group. He has extensive experiences in the telecommunications industry in Taiwan. He is a trained engineer and started his career in 1992.
Mr. Tsai holds a Master of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
Angel Investor, BANSEA
Amit Sharma has over 18 years of experience in the IT and Mobile Industry and in the last 3 years his focus has been on Digital Transformation technologies such as IoT, Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Blockchain. Amit has worked for Tech Mahindra for over 8 years before starting his entrepreneurial journey. Prior to that he has held various leadership roles with technology companies such as Jamcracker, Subex and Telesoft in Software-as-a-Service, Telecom OSS/BSS, Revenue Assurance, Fraud Management, Mobile Payments/ Remittance and Value Added Services. He is also an Angel Investor at BANSEA and Board of Advisor to few start-ups in the region.
Mr. Alan Cheung is a Director of the Advanced Digital Systems Group in ASTRI. He received his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, New York and his M.S. Degree of Electrical Engineering in Stanford University, California. He has served in Sun Microsystems (Oracle) and ATI Technologies (AMD) before coming back to Hong Kong.
After joining ASTRI, he has been actively contributing in hardware development of various domains including multimedia, communications and secured storage processor. He led the team in finishing multiple ASIC projects with leading companies such as HiSilicon (Huawei).
He also actively works on financial technology (Fintech) development. He currently focuses on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain related research and applications. Commissioned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in 2016, he led the ASTRI team to publish the first whitepaper on Distributed Ledger Technology in Hong Kong. He currently collaborates with banks and other financial institutions in developing blockchain applications such as Digital Identity Management, E-KYC and Insurance claims. He also explores blockchain implementations in logistics and supply chain management with other companies.
Rikard Strid is an entrepreneur determined to disrupt and create the new foundation upon which our digital industries and future economy is built. Together with his team at Clayster and as Global IoT Ambassador for the Network Society Research, he is driving the evolution towards “Next Generation Internet” – a human-centric Internet where connectivity infrastructure is payed for by the value it enables, rather than being considered a value in itself.

Kiran Karunakaran serves as Partner at Delta Partners. He is Partner in the Asia Pacific region. His primary focus is in management consulting across the Asia Pacific region and his areas of expertise span Digital Transformation, Customer experience and Convergence. Prior to joining Delta Partners he was a Sr. Principal at Bain & Co. where he was an integral part of the leadership team in Asia Pacific. He is a Partner with over 12 years of management consulting and private equity experience. He has worked with Telecom operator and has worked across 15 countries in North America, Asia and Australia and he has a deep understanding of CXO agenda issues in both developed and developing markets. Pedro is a Technology professional with a career of 15+ years in the Telecommunications, Mobile and Cyber Security areas. Always having a clear business focus, he has been leading projects and product portfolios with a global footprint. Originally from Barcelona, he moved to Singapore 3 years ago and currently heads the regional Product Management team for Cyber Security in the East Asia region. Among his past responsibilities, he has been representing G+D in several standardization organizations like OMA and 3GPP in the areas of Smart Cards and Security.

Kwok Quek Sin
GovTech, Director, National Digital Identity Programme, GovTech Singapore
Driving Singapore͛s Smart Nation move, he oversees the Product Management Division of GovTech focusing on the planning and delivery of whole-of-government products for citizens and businesses, including e-payment solutions. He is also concurrently the Director for the NationalDigital Identity programme, charged with the setting up of the National Digital Identity, Authentication, Signing and Data platforms. These products are part of the critical foundations and building blocks for Singapore’s Smart Nation vision.
Head of Asia, GSMA
Alasdair Grant is the Head of APAC for the GSMA, based in the Hong Kong regional office. Before joining the GSMA in 2015, Alasdair managed another industry association and for six years ran a Hong Kong based strategy consultancy, advising global and regional telecommunications companies and digital ecosystem operators on their market entry and engagement plans throughout Asia.
Prior to this, Alasdair was the Asia Head of Corporate Development and Partnerships at Reliance Globalcom, part of the Reliance Group, where from 2007‐2010 he was responsible for the company’s regional planning and infrastructure investment ventures.
In this role, he led commercial negotiations for the India‐China overland cable, part of a pioneer international fibre optic cable system providing west‐bound connectivity from Asia to the rest of the world. Previously, Alasdair served as the Head of Regulatory Affairs, Asia, for Verizon Enterprise, where he was responsible for securing market liberalisation and supporting internal business units on investment and compliance issues. From 1999‐2003, Alasdair was the Asia Head of Strategic and Regulatory Affairs for Level 3 Communications, which built the region’s first competitive multi‐terabit international submarine cable system.
In this role he played a key role in opening the Taiwan market, secured the first competitive international cable system licences ever awarded in Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and planned the Hong Kong landing of the NACS system. As part of the deal team effecting the sale of Level 3’s Asia operation to Reach, Alasdair was then engaged by Reach to work on business integration and transformation. Prior to these Hong Kong based roles, Alasdair lived and worked in his home city of Sydney, managing the regulatory affairs of AAPT, tching and writing at the Communications Law Centre at the University of New South Wales, and working as a lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin, Sydney.
Alasdair is the founding editor and co‐author of Australian Telecommunications Regulation (CCH), the leading academic text in this field, with subject matter covering licensing frameworks, access and interconnection, competition law, spectrum, universal service and consumer protection. From 2008‐2015 Alasdair was a Board Member of the International Institute of Communications. He is also a former Board member of the Communications and Media Law Association of Australia, and has served as the President of the Asia Pacific Carriers’ Coalition. Alasdair holds a degree in Law and an Honours degree in Literature from the University of Sydney.

Mr. Angus Yu is appointed as Technology Director, APAC in GSMA since 2014. He has more than 25 years experience in mobile industry and is responsible for promoting and supporting mobile operators in the region for various GSMA industry initiatives, i.e. Identity, Future Networks and IoT. Before joining GSMA, he held various key positions in leading mobile operators from mobile network engineering, operations and core network.
Jaikishan (Jai) Rajaraman
Vice President and Global Head of Technology, GSMA
Jaikishan (Jai) Rajaraman is the GSMA Vice-President and Global Head of Technology. He drives the development and deployment of inter-operable solutions for new services and technologies within the GSM community and the wider mobile ecosystem.
Jai brings more than seventeen years of experience in product development, technology strategy and business management, for both domestic and international operations in the telecommunications sector, spanning both developing and developed economies.
Jai is a key global GSMA spokesperson, and is a leading authority on the technical, business and social implications of Mobile Broadband. He is regularly called upon to consult with government and private sector organisations on the effective delivery of mobile-centric solutions through the confluence of cellular technology with other sectors such as digital identity, health, education and financial services.
In addition to an Honours degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Masters in Financial Engineering, Jai also holds a double MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the National University of Singapore.
