This report brings an understanding of the current state of mobile and energy infrastructure in Africa and identifies possible alternatives for cost-effectively powering mobile networks in Africa. The report also looks at the changing industry structure as well as regulations and their impact on scaling the adoption of green energy in powering telecoms infrastructure and therefore, improving access to mobile communications across the continent. The geographical scope of this report is limited to Africa and majorly Sub-Saharan Africa.
