GSMA ANNOUNCES 2014 MOBILE 360 SERIES EVENTS

GSMA to Host Executive Conferences in Six Locations Globally; Mobile 360 Events Explore Regional Mobile Industry Trends and Issues

London: The GSMA today announced the schedule and locations for the 2014 GSMA Mobile 360 Series, a regional thought leadership conference series for executives in the mobile industry, as well as key regulatory and government representatives. Building on the success of the inaugural Mobile 360 Series in 2013, this year the GSMA has expanded the number of Mobile 360 Series events from two to six: Mobile 360 Series-Africa, Mobile 360 Series-Europe, Mobile 360 Series-Israel, Mobile 360 Series-Middle East, Mobile 360 Series-North America and Mobile 360 Series-South Korea.

“We are excited to be bringing the Mobile 360 Series to additional locations around the world in the next year,” said Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA. “The Mobile 360 Series conferences complement those that are run as part of larger GSMA events, such as Mobile World Congress and Mobile Asia Expo, but provide a sharp focus on the key trends and issues that are impacting the mobile industry on a regional basis. Beyond offering valuable industry insights, the Mobile 360 Series provides an important platform for sharing best practices and fostering regional collaboration, both of which are critical in making mobile truly ubiquitous.”

In 2014, the GSMA will be hosting the following Mobile 360 Series conferences:

Mobile 360 Series Conference Location Dates
Mobile 360 Series-North America Atlanta, Georgia, United States 22-23 September
Mobile 360 Series-Israel Tel Aviv, Israel 1 October
Mobile 360 Series-Middle East Dubai, United Arab Emirates 13-14 October
Mobile 360 Series-South Korea Busan, South Korea 20-21 October
Mobile 360 Series-Africa Cape Town, South Africa 5-7 November
Mobile 360 Series-Europe Brussels, Belgium 8 December

The GSMA is collaborating with a number of organisations in developing the Mobile 360 Series of events. For instance, in the first Mobile 360 Series conference in North America, the GSMA is working with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and will be holding the Mobile 360-North America in conjunction with the Chamber’s “Mobility Live” event. Now in its second year, Mobile 360 Series-Middle East will again be co-located with GITEX at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Mobile 360 Series-South Korea will be co-located with the World IT Show at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) and both events are being held alongside the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2014.

Further information on the Mobile 360 Series of events, including specific topic areas for the conferences, speaking and sponsorship opportunities, and how to attend, will be available at www.mobile360series.com.
