GSMA Announces Final Event Lineup for Highly Anticipated 2019 “MWC Los Angeles, in Partnership with CTIA”

Boingo, GeSI, HP Enterprise, LA Sports and Entertainment Commission, the Mayor of LA, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Sprint and Warner Bros. Entertainment to Keynote

Atlanta: The GSMA today announced final updates for MWC19 Los Angeles, including new high-profile keynote speakers, exhibitors and event details. Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from October 22-24, MWC19 Los Angeles will convene the mobile technology industry to showcase the new era of Intelligent Connectivity enabled by 5G.

New Keynote Speakers Announced
The GSMA is pleased to announce the addition of eight new keynote speakers, including executives from mobile operators and organizations leading the future of mobile. New keynote speakers include:

Beyond the keynote presentations, the conference program will offer eight open summits and 46 focused conference sessions. The CTIA “Everything Policy Track” returns to take on the most important topics in regulation and policy that move the industry forward. The GSMA Telco Cloud Summit will explore the latest solutions in enabling cloud connectivity such as network functions virtualization (NFV) infrastructure, network slicing and edge computing. Artificial Intelligence at MWC Los Angeles

The Forum will also reveal findings from the GSMA’s Global AI Challenge designed to uncover how AI can deliver global societal and economic benefits.

Spectrum Competition Takes Center Stage
On Wednesday, October 23, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Project Agency’s (DARPA) Spectrum Collaboration Challenge (SC2) Championship Event will take place on the keynote stage. The finale taking place at MWC Los Angeles is the culmination of a three-year competition in which 10 teams will compete head-to-head for nearly $4 million in prizes. The SC2 drove global teams to merge recent advances in AI with the expanding capacities of software-defined radios (SDR) to create radio networks capable of autonomously navigating the wireless spectrum.
