Social Risk Management in Mobile Operator Supply Chains – a good practice toolkit

Demonstrating effective management of supply chain social risks, including those related to forced labour and modern slavery, is increasingly a regulatory and reporting requirement for companies worldwide. Many GSMA members have committed to managing these risks in a manner aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP), or are members of the UN Global Compact (UNGC), which commits participants to implementing principles relating to labour and human rights.

Against this backdrop, the GSMA initiated an internal learning project in 2025 to examine the challenges its members face in identifying and managing supply chain social risks. This good practice toolkit has been developed to support GSMA members in evaluating and continuously improving their supply chain social risk management practices.
