Resource thumbnail

This session does a deep dive into a new GSMA report, which provides the latest data and trends on mobile phone sales, consumer preferences, regulations and policy, as well as how these trends are converging to strengthen the commercial business case for circularity.

The report draws on the results of a new GSMA global consumer survey of over 10,000 consumers across 26 countries and experiences of 30+ mobile operators on the opportunities and challenges of developing and scaling circular business models.

This session brought together thought leaders from across the value chain—manufacturers, mobile operators, and refurbishers to explore:

  • How evolving consumer behaviours and regulations are shaping the future of mobile devices
  • Strategies to design and make more repairable, sustainable phones
  • How to seize new business opportunities from circular services and devices
  • The untapped potential of collaboration in creating a circular mobile ecosystem

This session is a must-watch for leaders and practitioners working on mobile phones, circular economy, and sustainability strategy to learn about the commercial opportunities from a more circular economy for mobile phones.
