Connecting the world for better health

Mobile technology is transforming healthcare access, delivery, and outcomes worldwide – we, together with our donors and members, are helping to drive this growth.

Our work on digital health using mobile technology, is designed to inform, connect and inspire innovative solutions across multiple industries

At GSMA Mobile for Development, we aim to place mobile at the heart of the healthcare ecosystem. Our ongoing research examines how the mobile industry is already making a difference and how it can go further. Mobile can increase the quality, reduce costs and extend the reach of healthcare to benefit millions, especially for women, children and those who lack access to essential healthcare and nutritional information.

GSMA research and reports

Our research on digital health focuses on three core questions, such as what mobile-led digital health innovations are working, and what lessons can the wider-industry learn from them? What are the barriers preventing mobile operators from entering or expanding in the digital health space? What drives the development of solutions that are not just effective, but sustainable and scalable? Below are some of our latest reports and resources on topics related to digital health, emergencies and paramedics and maternal, new born and child health:
