Working through the Vodacom Foundation, the company seeks to reduce inequalities and enable full participation in social and economic life.
About Vodacom Congo
Vodacom Congo is a leading telecommunications provider in the Democratic Republic of Congo, playing a vital role in the country’s connectivity and digital development. Since 2002, the company has provided innovative, accessible communications solutions, from voice services to broadband internet, connecting millions of Congolese to the opportunities of the modern world.
At the heart of Vodacom Congo’s social impact is the Vodacom Foundation, which delivers inclusive development programmes in education, health and economic empowerment. The Foundation is especially focused on digital inclusion for persons with disabilities, democratising access to technology and offering adapted tools to help bridge the digital divide. Vodacom’s broader innovations, such as its mobile money platform M-Pesa, are supporting a future where no one is left behind.
Disability Inclusion Initiatives
Vodacom Congo is embedding disability inclusion across its operations and outreach by fostering access to training, employment and digital tools. These efforts aim to empower persons with disabilities to become active participants in the digital economy and broader society.
“At Vodacom Congo, we are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive environment where every individual, regardless of their abilities, has the opportunity to thrive. Disability inclusion transcends mere policy for us; it is a fundamental value that fuels our innovation and community engagement.

We believe that digital inclusion is about providing learning and integration opportunities that transcend physical and infrastructural limitations. By integrating digital training as a driver of skill development and autonomisation, we can empower individuals to take charge of their own futures. This approach allows us to scale our efforts more rapidly and reach communities that are often marginalised. Our commitment is to create opportunities and dismantle barriers to ensure that no one is left behind in our journey toward progress.”
– Khalil Al Americani, CEO, Vodacom Congo
