For much of his life, Edodi faced significant barriers to accessing mobile internet. Limited income meant he couldn’t afford an internet-enabled phone, and his lack of digital skills made it difficult to navigate online tools. Through digital skills training, Edodi learned how to use mobile internet to overcome this particular barrier. Today, he uses his phone to research crops, purchase seeds, manage his finances and connect with other farmers.
Thanks to mobile internet, Edodi is growing crops he couldn’t before, helping his children with their education, and building a better future for his family. His story shows the incredible potential of digital inclusion to empower individuals and uplift rural communities.
