Our Pakistan case studies explore how digital innovation is creating impact for underserved and economically vulnerable communities across Pakistan, while examining the market conditions enabling this progress. Drawing on insights from three GSMA Innovation Fund grantees, the report highlights how DeafTawk’s sign language interpretation platform, Orenda’s edtech solution and Vceela’s digital marketplace for artisans are improving livelihoods, expanding economic opportunities and strengthening resilience.Through these case studies, the report demonstrates the role of digital innovation in driving more inclusive and sustainable development outcomes

Mobile technology plays a central role in driving impact, from improving access for deaf users to supporting personalised learning and creating new opportunities for predominantly women-led artisan businesses. The findings highlight meaningful gains for end users while underscoring the structural barriers that continue to shape who benefits most, including gender gaps in mobile access.

Combining quantitative and qualitative data from grantees, GSMA datasets and wider market analysis, the three impact reports provide a deep dive into how innovation, ecosystem conditions and market dynamics shape pathways to impact and create opportunities for scale.
