The Pakistan Market Analysis 2026 explores how digital innovation is driving impact for underserved and economically vulnerable communities in Pakistan while analysing the market conditions that make this progress possible. Drawing on data from three GSMA Innovation Fund grantees, DeafTawk, Orenda and Vceela, the report examines how a sign language translation platform, an edtech solution and a digital marketplace connecting artisans to customers are contributing to poverty reduction, improved livelihoods and greater resilience.
Across these case studies, mobile technology emerges as a critical enabler of impact, from providing real-time connection and access for Deaf users, to powering AI-driven lesson personalisation for educators, to opening new markets for predominantly women-led artisan businesses. The findings point to meaningful gains for end users while highlighting where structural barriers, including gender gaps in mobile access, continue to shape who benefits the most.
Combining quantitative and qualitative data from grantees, GSMA datasets and wider market analysis, the three impact reports provide a deep dive into how innovation, ecosystem conditions and market dynamics shape pathways to impact and create opportunities for scale.
