Indonesia’s roughly 27 million smallholder farmers face persistent barriers, from low productivity and limited finance to scarce agronomic advice. Drawing on nearly 200 interviews and field-testing across four provinces, the latest research assesses 20 AI use cases for feasibility and impact. Three are ready to scale now – conversational advisory, alternative credit scoring and price prediction.
