What is GSMA Open Gateway Certification?

GSMA Open Gateway Certification is a structured testing program aimed at ensuring Operators and API providers deploy standardized APIs compliant with CAMARA standards and specifications.

The goal is to enable interoperability and consistency that allows developers to achieve global mobility.

The GSMA Testing and Certification process begins with an introductory meeting, followed by the submission of key technical details, including CAMARA API implementations, versioning, endpoints, authorization flows, and test environment access. Testing is then scheduled to verify compliance with the OpenAPI Specification (OAS).

Upon successful completion, an official GSMA certificate, test report, and logs are issued. If compliance issues arise, further testing is conducted. Certified APIs are officially recognized on the GSMA Open Gateway portal.
