Cloudcom Joins GSMA Open Gateway to Accelerate API Innovation

Cloudcom is proud to announce its official membership in the GSMA as an Industry Member, marking a significant milestone in our mission to drive innovation and interoperability in the telecommunications sector.

In alignment with this commitment, Cloudcom has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the GSMA, formalizing our collaboration to advance the GSMA Open Gateway initiative. This global framework aims to standardize network APIs, enabling seamless access to mobile operator networks for developers and businesses worldwide.

By joining the GSMA Open Gateway as a channel partner, Cloudcom becomes part of a global effort to simplify and harmonize API integration across telecom networks. This initiative unites mobile network operators from around the world, fostering a collaborative ecosystem that accelerates service deployment and technological advancement.

Cloudcom is actively pursuing CAMARA certification, an open-source project co-developed by the Linux Foundation and GSMA. CAMARA standardizes network APIs across operators, facilitating easier and more scalable integration for businesses.

Medhat Karam, CEO of Cloudcom, commented:

“This partnership with GSMA marks a transformative step for CloudCom and the telecom ecosystem in the region. By aligning with global standards and frameworks like the GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA, we are not only enabling telecom operators to expose APIs in a unified and secure way, but also creating a powerful platform for developers to build the next generation of digital services. Our mission has always been to simplify connectivity and integration, and this collaboration strengthens our position as a key player in the CPaaS and telecom innovation landscape.”

Henry Calvert, Head of Networks at the GSMA, said:

“We welcome Cloudcom as a new GSMA Open Gateway initiative channel partner and look forward to the experience they will bring as a CPaaS provider. We look forward to working with them and seeing how they integrate open APIs into their cloud-based solutions to help enterprisesenable businesses to communicate more effectively with their customers.”

Cloudcom’s goal is to empower telecom operators to expose APIs in a seamless and secure manner, enabling developers to build innovative services that leverage network capabilities. By providing standardized and open APIs, we aim to unlock new opportunities in areas such as eHealth, IoT, and secure communications.

Through this partnership with the GSMA, Cloudcom is committed to shaping the future of telecommunications by promoting interoperability, innovation, and seamless connectivity.
