MWC26 Barcelona highlighted the growing impact of GSMA Fusion in bringing together innovators like Elmo to showcase real-world applications of advanced network capabilities. From its presence on the GSMA Pavilion, Elmo demonstrated how remotely driven vehicles are becoming a reality powered by network APIs that enable reliable, intelligent, and scalable connectivity.
Building on earlier work around network prioritisation, Elmo showcased new capabilities including congestion prediction, driver identification, and precise location tracking even in complex environments such as tunnels. These advancements underline the critical role of APIs in ensuring safe and seamless remote driving experiences.
The conversation also pointed to the future, where AI agents will further enhance how network APIs are used supporting faster decision-making, dynamic routing, and smarter use of network resources. Through GSMA Open Gateway, Elmo is not only advancing its technology but also increasing its visibility and collaboration opportunities across the ecosystem.
