Winning the Fraud Prevention Stack The CEO of award winning technology start-up ShareIDSara Sebti warned fraud is outpacing OTP as phishing, synthetic identity, and genAI-driven attacks scale making single-layer authentication inadequate. ShareID combines network signals (SIM swap/number verify), government digital ID, and biometrics to cut friction, strengthen assurance, and avoid storing biometrics.
From MCP to AI Agents: The Future of Network is Agentic
MCP as an AI-native integration layer Solo.io‘s Lin Sun positioned Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a standard way for AI agents to discover and invoke tools like a “USB drive” for agent integrations. For telecoms, MCP-ready network APIs become essential; otherwise, agents will bypass operator capabilities in favour of easier routes. Lin also, bravely, used the session to run two live and successful MCP demonstrations in front of her audience.

Session 2 finished with an all-star panel session moderated by Amy Cameron, Research Director at STL Partners, with Dr. Chathurangi Wickramsinghe, SVP of Magenta API Exposure at DT, Alexandru Ciinaru, API Product Manager at Orange, Irene Bernal, Telco Services and Strategy Director at Telefonica Open Gateway and Bridge Alliance‘s new CEO Mr. Boon Chee Loo. The Panel agreed that API technology is ready; the priority now is speed-to-market, expanding portfolios, strengthening governance, and building trust for high-frequency, non-deterministic agent behaviour.
