The “Power of Fintech Innovation” session will delve into the current and future challenges in the fintech landscape, with insights from industry experts. The rapid advancements in cloud computing, AI, 5G, new platform models leveraging APIs, and regulatory changes, are driving competition, lowering market entry costs, and enabling innovative fintech solutions to launch and scale quickly.

The demand for seamless, mobile-first digital experiences is driving the adoption of superapps. By 2027, it is predicted that over 50% of the global population will be daily active users of superapps (1). Digital wallets have revolutionised commerce and payments, accounting for 50% of global e-commerce expenditure, which amounts to $3.1 trillion (2). Insurtech is presenting a $2.5 trillion embedded insurance opportunity (3).

The session will also explore how digital assets are being integrated into mainstream commerce. The rise in scam and fraud attacks poses a threat to trust, necessitating innovative solutions to verify the digital identities of consumers.

Join us as we explore “The Rise of Mobile-Driven Commerce: Trends and Opportunities,” focusing on key trends and growth opportunities.

Mobile wallet-based payment solutions have surged, offering unparalleled convenience and disrupting e-commerce and point-of-sale (POS) systems. This has led to new value propositions for both merchants and consumers, reducing reliance on cash. Interoperability and frictionless cross-border payments are now key areas of focus.

Alternative lending, powered by Mobile Network Operator (MNO) data, is rapidly growing, supporting the expansion of micro businesses previously excluded from lending.

Juniper Research forecasts retail expenditure via conversational commerce will grow to $43 billion by 2028, up from $11.4 billion in 2023(4). AI-powered chatbots, live chat, and RCS messaging will enhance user experiences, deepen personalisation, and increase conversion rates and Net Promoter Scores (NPS). The Creator Economy is projected to also grow to $480 billion by 2027, driven by approximately 50 million individual creators(5).

Hear from our expert partners as we uncover the trends and opportunities shaping the future of mobile-driven commerce.
