November was a busy month for mHealth. Implementation of mHealth services in South Africa is on-going, with an announcement from MTN of their offering.
The Mobile for Development world gathered in Cape Town for a truly innovative, cross-sector meeting of industry experts. Its very interesting to note how mHealth is being integrated into mobile money, mEducation and Digital Inclusion services. We are expecting to see huge movement in this M4D cross-sector work before the next M4D Summit in 2014.
In follow up to our announcement of the mNutrition initiative last month, GSMA mHealth has begun feasibility studies and partner engagement in Nigeria and Malawi, the first two of 10 countries that will benefit directly from this initiative, closely aligned to the UN?s Every Woman Every Child movement.
