A GSMA Future Networks Forum webinar
During the webinar, we introduced the new GSMA Mobile AI community, launched earlier this year at MWC Barcelona, and explore how AI is currently being applied across mobile networks.
During the session, our expert speakers shared insights on how AI is reshaping mobile networks, from dynamic, energy-efficient optimisation to proactive network automation, sharing insights from the latest report from the GSMA Mobile AI Community “Agentic AI for Telecom: Charting the Course for an Intelligent Future“. The evolution from traditional, task-specific AI to Agentic AI was also explored, where autonomous agents interact intelligently with the network environment, paving the way towards full automation in 6G.
Top takeaways:
- New business models emerging from AI-ready analytics, turning network insights into monetisable services.
- High-ROI use cases, including predictive maintenance, fault prevention, cybersecurity, and fraud detection.
- How AI enables near-real-time closed-loop control, illustrated by advanced traffic engineering in transport networks.
- Why the industry is currently at Level 3 of AI readiness, and what it will take to achieve full autonomy in the 6G era.
- The key challenges: data privacy, fragmentation, and skills shortages in building AI-ready networks.
- The importance of modular, scalable platforms for efficient data handling and computational offloading in future 6G deployments.
- How standards from 3GPP, ETSI ENI, and GSMA will enable multivendor interoperability and industry-wide adoption.

Want to shape the role of AI in future mobile networks?
As part of the GSMA 5G Futures Community, the Mobile AI Sub-Community Group unites GSMA members with AI and network specialists to drive the adoption of AI across mobile networks. Its mission is to foster practical collaboration in two key areas: applying AI to optimise networks (“AI for Networks”) and designing networks to support AI workloads (“Networks for AI”). The group is dedicated to building secure, intelligent infrastructure fit for an AI-first future.
