Resource thumbnail

Version 3.0

This specification provides use cases and defines the requirements and architectural considerations for the realisation of Edge Compute services based on the Operator Platform Architecture. It covers among others detailed requirements for the platform interfaces that are specific to such a services, including the Southbound Interfaces for the management of compute resources and edge interconnection networks. It also describes service flows detailing how the platform and its interfaces those could be used to cover various scenarios related to offering edge services. This new version provides requirements on the interconnection between Edge Sites of different parties for enabling Application-level exchanges. It also includes guidance on when to use the OP’s East/Westbound interface for the interaction between networks and when the lower-level interconnection of for example the packet core networks is more appropriate. Finally,  this new version of the specification also aligns the terminology used with other Operator Platform specifications.
