RCC. 30 – Rich Communication Suite – RCS gRPC

This specification defines an alternative, optimised transport for RCS messages and covers both the interface between the client and the network and the interface between networks. The specification defines the use of gRPC for these interfaces and for the interface towards the clients, it relies on the push notification mechanism next to that. Furthermore, the specification defines the interworking procedures for the cases where a network bases on gRPC but needs to interact with a client or other network that relies on SIP and MSRP for the messaging-related signalling and transport.
