Scam Signal launches in South Africa to tackle APP fraud and combat financial crime

GSMA’s Scam Signal has launched in South Africa to fight Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud and financial crime. The API-based platform links mobile network intelligence with banking systems in real time, helping banks detect and block scam payments. It’s a collaborative effort with banks and tech partners, following UK rollout success.
