Colombia 2030: Policies for the Digital (R)evolution

The presidential elections in Colombia for the 2026–2030 term will be held next May 31. 

Through this GSMA document, the national mobile industry shares its vision on how the elected government can expand and consolidate an enabling environment to fully leverage the benefits of connectivity. 

Decision-makers are invited to reflect on the regulatory framework and the current state of the digital ecosystem, with the aim of driving actions that promote a financially sustainable and competitive industry capable of developing and strengthening the infrastructure needed to move forward on this path, placing the user at the center. 

«Colombia 2030: Policies for the Digital (R)evolution» focuses on two pillars for strengthening Colombia’s digital ecosystem: 

  1. Expansion of connectivity infrastructure. 
  2. Digital inclusion as a State policy. 

This report is part of the Digital Agenda for New Governments series which includes «The Path Toward a Digital Colombia» (2022) and «What Should the Next President’s Agenda Include to Achieve a Colombia Fully Integrated into the Digital Economy?» (2018).
