GSMA Member KT Rwanda Networks Ltd (KTRN), Rwanda’s telecommunications network operator, has designated Syniverse Technologies S.à r.l. as its SMS Person-to-Person (P2P) messaging hub provider for domestic and international inter-carrier messaging traffic, effective July 1, 2026.
The designation is part of KTRN’s continued efforts to enhance the quality, security, reliability, and interoperability of SMS traffic exchanged between telecommunications networks.
Under this arrangement, all inbound and outbound P2P SMS traffic to and from KT Rwanda Networks Ltd is to be routed through Syniverse Technologies S.à r.l. as the designated messaging hub provider.

KTRN and Syniverse will coordinate with relevant operators and industry stakeholders to establish the necessary routing, technical, testing, and operational arrangements required to support the implementation of the designation.
The appointment is intended to facilitate a consistent and secure framework for inter-carrier P2P SMS exchange while supporting reliable messaging services for subscribers connected to the KT Rwanda Networks Ltd network.
Industry partners requiring technical or operational coordination regarding the routing of P2P SMS traffic to or from KT Rwanda Networks Ltd are encouraged to engage with Syniverse Technologies S.à r.l. through the designated contact above.
