3rd Annual Global GSMA Connected Women Conference

Start: Tuesday 23 September 2014

End: Tuesday 23 September 2014

Venue: Historic Academy of Medicine

Location: 875 W. Peachtree Street NW Atlanta, GA , GA United States

This unique event aims to discuss how the industry can accelerate the growth of the female digital economy, by working with partners to bring significant socio-economic opportunities and benefits to all women and to the mobile eco-system globally.

We need to build new skills for an evolving industry and take the lead on educating industry stakeholders on the value of diversifying skillsets, as well as gender base, as the industry evolves away from traditional services. By highlighting the skills gap challenge, we can demonstrate the business/economic benefits of increasing the percentage of female leadership in the industry to motivate industry wide action. The gap in female participation has the potential to hold back innovation, productivity and commercial success.

Supporting stakeholders will help to increase the number of female consumers and levels/ variety of usage of mobile technology, specifically in the developing world and also including developed countries where gender parity is not yet realised for GSM and broadband services.

The Connected Women Annual Global Conference – Accelerating the Rise of the Female Digital Economy will bring together experts, regardless of gender, from across the mobile ecosystem and other industries to discuss and showcase ways to ensure that the mobile industry accelerates the growth of the female digital economy.

The Connected Women vision is to:

  • Catalyse those who can into acting to encourage others
  • Create momentum to increase the number of women working in and with mobile
