Check-in to the Connected Future at the GSMA Innovation City

Check-in to the GSMA Innovation City at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and experience first-hand how mobile-connected products and services are improving the lives of people at home and work. The GSMA and partners, including AT&T, GMA, Jasper, KT Corporation and Sierra Wireless, will be showcasing products and solutions that are changing the way the world communicates.

The 2,000 square metre city will bring to life how mobile connectivity and services can improve common scenarios in urban and rural settings, while expanding the possibilities for businesses and consumers. Highlights will include:

  • Take your seat on board an airliner and strap yourself in for a unique interactive virtual reality experience. Then walk through the terminal – duty free shopping becomes easier than ever with a virtual duty free shopping mall that sees products seamlessly selected, paid for and delivered to your door.
  • In the logistical zone, you’ll see how you can never lose your luggage again, or how to track goods around the world.
  • Pass through the agriculture zone and see how connectivity is helping farmers track animals’ movements, or see how their crops are maturing.
  • In the transport zone, you can see not only the latest benefits of a connected car, but also see how you can track a bicycle.

The Innovation City will also house the popular GSMA Pavilion and showcase the work of key GSMA programmes: Connected Living, Digital Commerce, Network 2020 and Personal Data, as well as the GSMA Member Services and hospitality area.
